GHK-Cu is one of the most widely studied small peptides in laboratory research. This guide covers what the compound is, what the independent lab report on our 100 mg vial shows, and how to store it. It describes chemistry only, not effects in people or animals.
What GHK-Cu is
GHK is a tripeptide of glycine, histidine and lysine (Gly-His-Lys). Its molecular formula is C14H24N6O4 and its molecular weight is about 340.4 g/mol. It was first described in human plasma in the 1970s.
GHK binds copper(II) ions tightly, and GHK-Cu is that copper complex: one copper ion held by one GHK molecule. The copper gives the powder its blue colour, which is why a GHK-Cu vial looks blue rather than white.
What the lab report shows
Janoshik Analytical tests GHK-Cu as the complex and reports three figures: the total GHK-Cu, and the peptide and copper that make it up. The current report for our 100 mg vial:
| Product | GHK-Cu 100mg |
|---|---|
| Label | 100 mg |
| Measured: GHK-Cu | 90.82 mg |
| Purity | 99.959% |
| Report | Janoshik #215318, analysed 31 Jul 2026 |
| Verification key | FFU7FYYJNJ9V |
The two parts make a useful check on the chemistry. In the batch tested for report #215318, 76.20 mg of GHK is about 0.224 millimoles and 14.62 mg of copper is about 0.230 millimoles. That is very close to the one-to-one ratio expected for the complex.
Storage and handling
- Unopened, long term: −20 °C, protected from light.
- Unopened, short term: 2–8 °C for up to several weeks.
- Let the vial reach room temperature before opening, so moisture does not condense on the powder.
- After reconstitution: keep at 2–8 °C and write the preparation date on the vial.
Our article on lyophilised peptides and storage explains the reasons behind each step.
Checking the report yourself
Every Janoshik report carries a verification key. Enter it at janoshik.com/verify and the laboratory’s own record of the test appears, so you can confirm the PDF matches what Janoshik issued. Our guide on how to read a peptide COA walks through each part of a report.
GHK-Cu in our range
GHK-Cu is sold on its own as GHK-Cu 100mg, and it is the largest component (50 mg) of the four-peptide KLOW blend.
For laboratory research use only. GHK-Cu is not registered on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods, and nothing on this page describes use in humans or animals.
