Bacteriostatic water (BAC water) in Australia
Bacteriostatic water is sterile water with a small amount of benzyl alcohol added as a preservative (the standard figure is 0.9%; our tested batch measured 10.15 mg/mL, about 1.0%). The benzyl alcohol slows bacterial growth, which is why laboratories use it to reconstitute lyophilised peptides when a solution will be used across several laboratory preparations. Plain sterile water has no preservative and is meant for single use.
Compare sizes
Both sizes come from the batch tested in Janoshik report #110963 (verification key XQQ9EAULW39K), which you can check on Janoshik's own website.
We stock bacteriostatic water in 3 mL and 10 mL vials, and its independent lab report is published like every other product. The bacteriostatic water guide covers what it is, how it differs from sterile water, and how to store it once opened.
Add a vial to any peptide order: shipping is free on orders of $250 or more, tracked Australia-wide.
