Buying Research Peptides in Australia: A Checklist for Choosing a Supplier

There are many online suppliers of research peptides, and the quality of what they sell, and of the information they provide, varies widely. These are the things worth checking before you place an order.

1. Independent test reports for each product

A reputable supplier publishes third-party analytical reports, not just its own claims of purity. Look for a report on the product page itself, from a named independent laboratory, showing the measured content and, where tested, the purity. Our guide on how to read a peptide COA explains each part of a report.

2. Reports you can verify

A PDF on its own can be edited. Independent laboratories such as Janoshik Analytical issue a unique key with each report that you can check on their website. If a supplier’s reports carry no task number or verification key, treat them with caution.

3. Clear, specific labelling

Each listing should state the compound, the content per vial in milligrams, the vial size, the form (for example lyophilised powder) and a SKU. For blends, the amount of each component should be listed.

4. Storage information

Peptides need appropriate storage. A supplier should tell you how to store the material, both before and after it is opened. Our article on lyophilised peptides and storage covers the general principles.

5. Research-use terms, and no health claims

Research peptides are sold for laboratory research and are not approved for human or veterinary use. A responsible supplier says so clearly and does not make health claims or give dosing advice. Promises about weight loss, healing or performance are a red flag, both for compliance and for how seriously the supplier treats its products.

6. A real Australian business

Check that the supplier shows an ABN, working contact details and clear terms. Buying from an Australian supplier also means domestic shipping, the protections of the Australian Consumer Law, and no international customs delays.

7. Clear shipping and returns policies

Look for published shipping costs and timeframes, tracked delivery, and a returns policy that explains what happens if a parcel arrives damaged.

8. Know the rules that apply to you

Some compounds are regulated in Australia. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to understand and comply with the laws that apply to them, so check before you order.
